Boxer-brief underwear in Polartec® Power Dry® FR — the layer closest to the skin, and the one most often overlooked. The fabric is a modacrylic-based blend of 68% modacrylic, 29% rayon and 3% spandex, so the flame resistance is inherent to the fibre blend rather than a finish applied on top. The material does not support combustion.
Power Dry® construction moves moisture off the skin and spreads it across the outer face so it evaporates quickly, keeping skin dry through long days in a vehicle, under armour or on the move. The cut is anatomical rather than generic, and the seams are flat — the two things that decide whether a base layer is still comfortable at hour twelve. The spandex content lets the garment follow the body and return to shape rather than stretching out.
Performance Features
- Inherent flame resistance: Built into the modacrylic-based fibre blend, not applied as a topical treatment, so it cannot wash out or wear off. The material does not support combustion.
- Polartec® Power Dry® moisture transport: Pulls moisture off the skin and spreads it across the outer surface for fast evaporation — the difference between dry and chafed on a long day.
- Anatomical cut: Shaped to the body rather than cut flat, so it stays in place under trousers and does not ride or bunch during movement.
- Flat seams: Seams lie flush against the skin to eliminate the pressure points and chafing that build up under a belt, harness or seated in a vehicle.
- 3% spandex: Free movement in every direction, with enough recovery to hold shape through repeated wear and washing.
